Alienware and Plantronics in Review
Over the last two weeks the battles determining the victors of the Gamecom Plantronics 4v4 Squad Rush and the Alienware 8v8 Conquest Tournaments have been raging on.
In Plantronics, Those Guys, Rival Gaming and Team Fragment! have made it through their respective divisions, leaving the last spot for the double-elimination playoffs up for grabs between No Mercy and Project Gaming. We look forward to seeing who manages to take home the first place and the $2,000 prize.
Last Saturday in Alienware, the top 32 teams qualifying throughout the last month faced off, playing multiple consecutive matches last Saturday against one another to determine who would play in the finals on 15th. The gametype 8v8 Conquest requires an incredible amount of synergy, leaving only a few teams to be favorites for this tournament.
Unfortunately, because Team HOT forfeited their matches, it wasn’t much of a surprise to anyone to see both Rival Gaming’s Black and Red Teams beat out every other team in the bracket, guaranteeing them first and second place along with $1,600 in prize money.
Good luck and have fun to all teams still fighting.
Good post. Inspired a short opinion piece I’ll post a bit later.
Is that a real forfeit?;)
