Zombie studios announced last week that their Free 2 play shooter Blacklight: Retribution will be entering open beta on Febuary 27th. It will be interesting on how this will play out because it is one of the few Free 2 Play game that is using DX11.
The wait is nearly over! Blacklight: Retribution will enter Open Beta on February 27th!
On 2/27, the floodgates will open and Blacklight: Retribution will official be open for business. Characters and progress from the Closed Beta will be wiped, and all players will start fresh and new on the same footing. From the 27th and on, all progress will be kept, and the race to domination will begin!The launch of the Open Beta will also be the kickoff for numerous events, as well as the addition of new content into the game. Three new maps, custom built Hero characters, and the Data Node system will all be available. More information about all of these will be available in the near future.
We want to send our thanks to all of our Closed Beta testers for helping shape Blacklight: Retribution into what it is today. Numerous changes, tweaks, and additions have been implemented based off tester feedback. We wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for all of you.

Tried it out last night after seeing BwanaTV play it. I must say, it’s pretty impressive for a F2P game. And it’s actually fun too. Of course it’s like WoT or LoL or any other F2P game in that you either grind for your gear or pay quite a premium. Thankfully it’s pretty fun even with stock weapons.
This is definitely going to be my new “CoD” game as it’s pretty quick and easy to just hop into a game and have fun. Good find Snipey.
